Our situation was bad credit and we were unable to get a home loan through normal channels.

program was a great way to start out again and get back on our feet.
Once people get to know your program, they will see that this may be

We recommend to people that if you want a home and do not have
the deposit that the banks want, just pay the couple of grand to get
into one of U.R. Home's houses, and just get started.
Our situation was that we were with U.R. Home for only 2
years and the value of the house after this time was more than
$50,000 than the fixed on-sale price to us. Because of this
increase in value we were able to obtain finance from a bank to
pay U.R. Home out and we now own the home.
We were even able to borrow more than the payout figure to U.R. Home, which allowed us to consolidate all our debts, complete our renovations and even had left overs for a family holiday.

The banks told me that I had NO CHANCE of getting a home as I was a single
mum and did not have a full time job, although I did receive regular income.
When I first approached U.R. Home I thought there must be a catch because
they said they could get me into a home ownership program that would get me
owning a home of my own. I now realise that there is no catch. I suppose
that’s what concerned me at first because it is so simple, it just seemed
to good to be true. It was so hard to believe that there was actually a
company that can really help people get a home even if everyone else says no.
The price of the home is fixed for the term of the agreement and I could
buy it at that fixed price whenever I was ready. Each week my weekly
payments reduced the amount I had to pay U.R. Home back. It was just
like paying rent. It was so easy that to be quite honest I didn’t really
know what I was doing but it just worked out just the way U.R. Home said it would.
Here I am 2 years later and U.R. Home allowed me to sell the property to
someone else on the same day I paid U.R. Home out and
I got to keep the profit, $40,000.00 to be exact.
I am now using my profits to build my own house at the sunshine coast
and hopefully that will be finished shortly.

I am a single dad
on a pension and working part time with two children. I never
thought I would be able to buy a home for me and the children.
The first time I spoke to you, it felt like I was talking to an
old friend. You explained everything to me in basic english, which
my 9 year old son could have understood. I got a list of houses
in the area. I looked at this house twice in one day and you did
not mind at all. So I rang you back that afternoon and said I'd
like that home and the paperwork was once again sent to me the
next day. This was a Wednesday, I sent it away on the Thursday, and
the next day you rang me and said to me "Congratulations,
you have got the home!"
It was the happiest day of my life for a long time. Now that
I have got my own finance, I am saving $200 a month, my loan is
still over 30 years, but I did get extra on my new loan to upgrade
my vehicle.
The first company I rang said "Yes" straight away, which I thought
would never happen. Thank you for my $250 spotters fee, which
will come in handy to finish off the garden. Dealing with you
has been a pleasure. All the way through the financing part of
the deal, everyone was still as nice to me as if I was paying
the house off.

was just 'dead money'. Purchasing our own home at that point was
not an option for us. My sister had just moved into one of your
properties and passed on your phone number. After talking to
you and seeing the quality of properties, my partner and I chose

I first rang you in 2002 as I had just moved to Toowoomba
and because my employment history wasn't satisfactory to the
banks and I couldn't get a loan, I chose to enter into your "Option to
Purchase" Agreement
As you are aware, I have just got a loan with a bank and because
the house is now worth more than your agreed fixed sell price
to me and my first homebuyers grant of $7000, it did not cost me
any money at all to pay you out or to get the loan. My new loan
with the bank is at a great interest rate and my repayments are
around $100 per week less than before, that's around $5000 a year
I save in repayments. Thanks again!

Thanks for helping me pay you
out. As you are aware, I decided to move away from the area where I
had my house.
It was great that on the same day I paid you out, I was able
to on-sell the house to another person.
In short, I moved into the house on the 28th March. I paid you out and
on-sold the property on the 25th June, a year later. From the sale
I pocketed $20,300 after paying back the balance I owed on the
property (not bad for the 15 months I had the property for). This
was great as I was able to move to a new area where I wanted
to live and I got to pocket all that money.

Thanks for helping me get a home.
After owning four properties previously and losing them due to divorce, your option was the best for getting me back into home ownership. I didn't have the hassle of dealing with a real estate agent then a bank then a solicitor. Your program was the one stop shop. I rang, I looked at the house, signed the agreement and moved in 14 days later, so easy and simple. I only had to break my current lease, but it was well worth it.
As you are aware I recently obtained bank finance to pay you out what I owed you and now own the home. With my new loan I did not have to use any of my own money at all. The bank provided in my new loan all the costs of purchasing the home from you.
I am also going to buy an investment property soon as I have about $100,000 equity in my home.
I have told a lot of people to join the home ownership program, as it is better than having to come up with a
10-20% deposit. It only cost me around $3,500 to get into the house, where else do you get an opportunity to get a home for that?

Here is some feedback on why we used your program.
Simply our situation was that we were unable to get bank finance due to a credit issue.
We could afford your up-front fee and we could afford the weekly payments and that is all you needed to be able to do to qualify for the home ownership program.
We were with you for just 12 months and in that time we polished the floors, painted the house and we only spent $2000.00 doing this as we did it ourselves.
When we came to purchase the home we did not have to put any of our own money in at all as the house was valued at $51,000.00 more than the fixed on-sale price to us and we also qualified for the first home buyers grant of $7000.00. The extra value of the home was able to go towards the deposit the bank required and towards the costs you normally pay when yhou purchase a home.
We recommend this program to anyone that really wants to get out of the rent cycle and secure their financial future.

We dug ourselves out of a hole after previoius relationships. We have excelled since entering the program. We both had nothing when we started and lived in rental properties.
When we came to purchase the home from you, the home was valued at an amazing $113,000 more than the fixed on-sale price that was set by you when we started the program. This allowed us to incorporate both our car loans into our new home loan with the bank and still left us with $50,000 equity in our home.
It has reduced our overall loan payments by almost half and allowed me, Cindy, to reduce my working hours also so I could look after our little girl. Not bad considering we were only in your program for 25 months.
All this happened by just deciding to do it, deciding to get ahead and deciding to finally STOP RENTING.

I have recently bought my home from "UR Home". I am so grateful for this great service that UR Home provided for me and my family. I had approached several banks previously to get finance only to be turned away because my income was unconventional, untaxable, unsecured, with no credit history and no deposit.
In 1year that I had bought the home from UR Home I was able to go back to the bank with enough equity in the home to purchase the house due to the reduction in the fixed price that you get when you come to buy the home from the weekly licence fee payments we had made, improvements that my wife and I have done, plus the constant increase in valuation in house prices.
I purchased the property for $218,000 1 year later I got a valuation from a bank at $260.000. As you know banks aren't very generous in their valuations and I would only consider selling for no less than $280,000.
The payments made to UR Home could only be matched by the Commonwealth bank at the time, they could not offer me a better term and payments than what I was paying to UR Home. My only advice, "IF" you can afford a mortgage, do it now.
Had I waited and struggled to save, I might have put away a few thousand dollars and gone without, but instead I made $62,000 equity. I am extremely happy that I am now a "HOME OWNER".
